Site History

Site launched: October 2007

Domain name purchased: December 2007

October 2007 - December 4 2007

The first layout when I was at freewebs.com/kristenwiigfans. I used a template from Tri-Star. I wanted a nice clean look for the first version so I went with a simple black and white since a lot of the site was text-based in the beginning.

December 2007 - January 2008

First layout at kristen. in-the-shadows.net. A huge change from the black and white. The site grew to a 3000+ image gallery, tons of videos, and more, but I grew tired of the colors very quickly.

January 2008 - April 2008

I moved the domain name to orangesarecool.com with this layout. It's a 'city theme' because New York is synonymous with SNL. This one was a bit more classier than the other two.

April 6 2008 - April 29 2008

I commissioned Beautiful Chaos Designs for a "noirish" header from the Page Six photos, because one in particular reminded me of the films Double Indemnity and The Big Combo. I converted the whole site to PHP as well, and installed a new blogging script. I liked this layout but I grew tired of the colors and darkness.
