KristenWiigfan.com started as a way to showcase a SNL performer in October 2007, because I felt she wasn’t getting enough publicity for her work. She had minor but scene-stealing roles and there wasn’t a resource showing fans and potential fans all she had done/was doing.

Behold the horror!

I started the website at a free host, freewebs, and it was then named the terrible “Wigging Over Wiig.” Yes, I know. Awful. When it first opened, the site had four small sections, Info, Career, Press, etc ones that exist today. Most notable? The site had no gallery. There were very little pictures of Kristen, and I didn’t have the webspace. That quickly changed..

In December 2007, I moved the site to a host, in-the-shadows.net, and stayed there for a month. It grew quickly, with a 3000+ image gallery, a ton of videos, etc. My favorite feature was how the videos popped-up in their own window. Least favorite? The Technicolor dream look of the website.   See for yourself.

I decided a change was in order.  A domain.  That same month, I bought KristenWiigfan.com and gave the site a “city look” because NYC and SNL are synonymous.   A bit more classy, right?  I quickly grew to hate it.  I also moved the site to my current host fanfusion.org, because they are amazing. I have never had such a seamless web hosting experience.

I went through various looks of the site (some decent, most terrible) and the site grew more.  Kristen became the sole main female on SNL and took on many roles in films and did a couple guest spots.  I grew too during the site – I went to school and finished my education while maintaining the site in my minimal free time.  It’s 2011 now, and where the site is headed from here, I have no clue!  I’m lax on updating it sometimes, but will never give it up!  I hope you enjoy my endeavors to showcase a performer I like in a respectful and thoughtful way.
