A huge congrats to Ms. Wiig for her work on and in Bridesmaids.  The film cost around 30 million to make and grossed OVER 26 million its first week.  She’s going to be a very big star very soon.  If you’re a fan who went out to support her, I’m sure she appreciates it.

The Bridesmaids press is hitting fast and my inbox keeps filling up with all the news.    I’ll be posting reviews as they come for the film which comes out this friday.  Remember, Kristen co-wrote AND stars in this, so go watch it and make it a hit.   Did you see the character posters? First, why didn’t Jimmy Kimmel show MY website on his show?  Because he pointed out how blank KristenWiig.com is. Come on, I have a pink background and info.  As for timely updated…not so much.

Kristen’s on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 17 promoting Paul at 12:00 AM.  Be sure to watch it!  Paul is out the same weekend.

This new interview with Kristen on Movieline.com shares her feelings about people’s perceptions of her characters.  She states even her mom hated Gilly. (Right there with you!).

How do you know you’ve made it?  I guess it’s when people write songs about you? Maybe? Of course Taylor Swift writes about everyone she meets.. Well, anyhow, on itunes there are two songs written about Kristen.  Seriously.  That’s all I have to say.  Only one really mentions Kristen though, and it’s linked below.

Ugh. I hate that splash image, I’m working on something new!  And maybe a new layout.  Getting sick of this one yet?

Is Saturday Night Live still funny?

As for my opinion on characters, I only mentioned Gilly and “the male host on Maternity Matters” as recurring characters I disliked. Because they’re so one note, and never deviate from the formula.  Yes, there really is a Kristen character I dislike. Actually, there’s several.

I must also note that Tina Fey is no longer the head writer on SNL. It’s Seth Meyers now.

Real Women of SNL

A strong parody of the “Housewives” shows appeared on the SNL Women special, starring several SNL women.

Don’t forget this airs tonight!  I’ve heard there’s some new segments filmed just for the show, including a take on the “Housewives” shows.
