Kristen appears on the cover of and inside of Paper magazine’s Winter issue. There’s scans floating around tumblr, I don’t believe in putting scans/articles up until after the magazine has left newsstands.

Kristen was nominated for a Golden Globe!  They snubbed Melissa McCarthy, but wait to go Kristen!

Huffington Post named Kristen one of their 25 funniest people in 2011. Other people on the list include Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, and Amy Poehler.

Kristen at New York Times Arts and Leisure Weekend

The tickets for the event are sold out, but you can watch Kristen and Paul Feig live on the Arts and Leaisure livestream January 8. If anybody attends this the event in person, I’d love a report of how it was.

Portlandia Appearance

Kristen will appear on the second season of Fred Armisen’s sketch comedy show “Portlandia” on IFC.  She will appear on episode 6. There’s even a short film about the show and the second season. She appears briefly. If you haven’t seen this show do watch it. Kristen will appear in a sketch as a superfan of a band.

I was surprised to see Kristen as “Bro the Year” in GQ but it happened. It’s an article about Kristen by Jon Hamm.

Also the cast of Bridesmaids have been named one of Entertainment Weekly’s “Entertainers of the Year.”  There’s a photoshoot, brief article.

Bridesmaids is up for pre-order now! You can find it on Amazon for around $27.99 right now for the blu-ray/dvd combo. No details on the features, but you can bet there’s deleted scenes.  There were a few scenes in the trailer that didn’t make it into the movie, it seems.

On the runaway success of Bridesmaids … Wiig: When we were writing it, [Annie Mumolo and I] weren’t like, “Oh, yeah! Now it’s the ladies’ turn!” It’s 2011; I don’t even know why it’s an issue. There are so many funny women in the world, and there has been for so many years, so I’ll be happy when people can just move on from that, and things can just be “comedies” and not “female” or “male,” and everyone gets an equal opportunity.

A huge congrats to Ms. Wiig for her work on and in Bridesmaids.  The film cost around 30 million to make and grossed OVER 26 million its first week.  She’s going to be a very big star very soon.  If you’re a fan who went out to support her, I’m sure she appreciates it.

MacGruber is out September 7.

A Very Gilly Christmas is out October 12! This is the special Kristen hosted as “Gilly” and features holiday clips from several seasons of  SNL, plus two new Gilly clips. Special guests include Justin Timberlake, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Laurie, James Franco, Drew Barrymore, Steve Martin, Rosario Dawson, Zac Efron and Robert De Niro.
