Emmy pictures, SNL Cast update…

31 Aug

Emmy Awards

So Kristen didn’t win an Emmy.  She lost to a great performer though and I’m sure Kristen will be nominated again.  I added four photos so far to the gallery from the Emmys and will be adding more.

62nd Annual Primetime Emmys

Tina Fey was great in the opening number with Jimmy Fallon, I wish Kristen and maybe some other SNL cast members had been in it as well.

Westfeldt Wants to Become Friends with Wiig

Jennifer Westfeldt, who made one of the best independent movies of all time, Kissing Jessica Stein, and who is also Jon Hamm’s girlfriend has a new film she’s prepared to make with Hamm, and wants Anne Hathaway and Kristen in the cast.  Read more at Showbiz411.com.

SNL Cast Has Two New Additions

The New York Post reports three new additions have been added to Saturday Night Live. to replace Will Forte.  Two males and one female. Yes! Some new women on the show.

New York Post: SNL is Adding Three New Stooges

“Taran Killam, a refugee from the cast of the long-running sitcom “Scrubs,” and two young comedians from Chicago — Paul Brittain and Vanessa Bayer – have been signed to the cast, according to several reports over the weekend.

News of the signings came just a day after it was announced Will Forte, who’s been on “SNL” for eight years and was perhaps best know for his “McGruber” take-off, was leaving the show.”

Betty White promo

5 May

The hacking sucked, but I’ve moved on. First, I have a new splash page. The image was designed by VivandLarry.com, which is a beautiful website devoted to Vivian Leigh and Lawrence Olivier. If you’re a classic Hollywood fan, I’d definitely check it out. I was getting very tired of the ugly white page, so I had to change it.

Thanks New Media for the promo!

Also, how awesome is that banner for MacGruber with Kristen on it at the top of the site?

SNL is new tonight! Ryan Phillipe (who Kristen worked with in MacGruber) Ke$sha (singer of “Tik Tok”) will be on tonight.

The Fan Carpet has linked to KristenWiigfan.com!  This is a real honor, as they’re a website with a ton of hits and they host some amazing websites, such as AboutJulia.com and Kirsten-Dunst.org which have been around since 1999 and 1998, respectively.  You can now find me linked on the Kristen Wiig page.

Vote for Kristen in the Time 100 Most Influential People! Time Magazine is working on their annual Most Influential People list.

Did anybody see Kristen’s small role in Date Night? What did you think?   Or how about the SNL in the 2000′s special?

Black Book Magazine has an interview with Kristen on their website. Read it now!

Maya Rudolph has been added to the cast of Kristen’s movie Bridesmaids. CinemaBlend.com reports Maya is the bride-to-be, Lillian, and Kristen is the bridesmaid, Annie.

Stagemomma sent me a link to her recap of her daughter auditioning for the role of a younger version of Kristen’s Bridesmaids’ character. Wigging Out

I’ve got a new affiliate: Drewseum.com, a website devoted to Drew Barrymore.

A look at the MacGruber poster, thanks to Special Ops Media. I love your mom jeans, Kristen.  You can find a larger size in the gallery.

Lastly, I would LOVE some fan material! If you have any icons or wallpaper etc to donate, please email me at bri@kristenwiigfan.com. I would love to add it to the site.

Movie News, SNL Updates

Bridesmaids?

The newest Muppet movie has gotten a director, and with that announcement comes the news the same director (James Bobin, cocreator of Flight of the Conchords) is being considered for the Judd Apatow-produced Bridesmaids, Kristen’s project, formerly known as “Untitled Kristen Wiig Project.” According to Screenrant.com, the movie is about “two bridesmaids competing to plan a friend’s wedding party.”

A Very Gilly Christmas

I added the first video of the Gilly Xmas special.  Did you know that according to Nielsen ratings, that episode was in the top 20? One can’t help but give a little credit to Kristen!
